DAMA Technopole spans an area of 140,000 square meters, originally designed and built in the 1950s by Pier Luigi Nervi for the former Manifattura Tabacchi, located in the northern area of Bologna.
It represents one of the city's most significant urban regeneration projects. The redevelopment and reactivation plan for the site originated from an international architecture competition, won in 2012 by the gmp Architekten studio (von Gerkan, Marg, and Partner).
